If it’s your first time, you might not know what to expect from Momonoki Atlanta, but you’re in for a treat. It looks like a trendy coffee shop .. but it’s so much more.
Let’s start with the beverage bar. They offer a range of matcha teas, cold or hot, from authentic green tea, Hojicha, to Coco Cha, a matcha latte with cocoa and mint. They also offer matcha lemonade with the option to add gin or vodka. Swanky!
What’s even more delectable is that they offer soft serve ice cream but not your traditional American flavors. Instead, they offer an array of intriguing flavors, such as matcha and black sesame. Then there are the pastries .. this ranges from traditional to exotic. Your choices range from carrot cake and bread pudding to black sesame escargot. Wowza!
Remember that I told you that this is no ordinary coffee shop? Well, there’s more. The food! OMG. The katsu sando is a Japanese cutlet sandwich, but this explanation doesn’t serve it well. You can choose between the bread and a list of fried proteins, including fried chicken, oysters, and shrimp, but they also offer vegan options. Then there’s the layer of house Katsu sauce in between two slices of milk bread which sets this sandwich apart from any other. I had the fried shrimp with Japanese tarter, and all the flavors and textures blended beautifully for a tasty treat. I also had the crispy spicy tuna, and it was terrific. I can go on and on about this place.
The menu has so much to choose from, including ramen and sushi. Last but not least, it has a great working atmosphere, and you can pop open your laptop and spend the day working out of the office here while hacking access to these delectable treats! I highly recommend Momo’s Cafe.
